In her teen years, she discovered a passion for the old R&B masters and soul singers – artists like Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and Louis Armstrong. Her band, aptly called ‘Melvina’, features some of Calgary’s finest players. She is also an accomplished, award-winning classical pianist. That is certainly enough to get you going, but its her sweet, soulful vocals that’s gonna move you!

Featuring a variety of musical genres such as Latin, Jazz, Reggae, anf R&B, her performances consists of a selection of timeless covers by artists that have defined the path of popular music.
