Recently returned home from extensive performing, auditioning and coaching all over Germany and Luxembourg, lyric coloratura soprano and Vancouver native Robin Eder-Warren “has the ability to inject humor into her voice; her vocal range and versatility is impressive. She has an adept sense of timing and an expressive face and body, and she makes good use of space” says The Langara Voice. She is a vibrant and talented young artist, and was recently named the Managing Director of new Vancouver opera company, Opera Mariposa.

Robin has performed on stages in many corners of the world, from Weimar to New York to Disneyland, as well as across Canada. Robin’s most recent role credits include Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte with Lyric Opera Studio Weimar (European debut) and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with The Opera Project, in which she was hailed as “simply stunning”. In 2010, Robin sang Papagena while covering Pamina in The Magic Flute, again with The Opera Project. She has joined the New York Opera Studio to sing Gretel in a scene from Hansel and Gretel, covered the role of Noemie and sang the third Spirit in Massenet’s Cendrillon with Dragon Diva Operatic Theater, and performed Young Heidi in Sondheim’s Follies with Applause Musicals. She has made appearances with UBC Opera and Vancouver Opera, including a turn as Macbeth’s Second Apparition in a production that was heard in its entirety on CBC Radio. Robin often performs in recital as well, most recently in Opera Mariposa’s gala launch concert, Witches, Waifs and Wives: the Great Women of Opera, where her rendition of Adele’s Laughing Aria from Die Fledermaus was “perfectly and amusingly executed”, and her performance through the night praised as “uplifting and energetic. She delightfully stole the show with her playful execution” (Langara Voice).

Robin’s talents are not limited to the world of opera, and include her impressive acting ability, as well; her stage credits include Queen Anne in Richard III, and Alma in Playing for Time, with Theater on the Hill, while her film and TV experience includes roles in the TV show, Alice, I Think, and in the feature film, What Goes Up, starring Hilary Duff.
