Mary McKay is an award-winning graduate of the Mohawk College Jazz program. She is a recipient of numerous awards, including the ‘Rousseau House Scholarship’, the Richard Newell Award’, and the Antony Roberts Scholarship’. Her music has been featured on radio (91.1 Jazz-FM, as well as on ‘Jazz-ology’ with Larry Greene, and on ‘Jazz In The City’ with Jaymz Bee. Mary is a busy and popular vocalist in the Toronto area, and can be heard singing with Big Bands, R&B/Motown groups, and with her own duo, accompanied by pianist. She has even performed with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. When not performing, Mary gives back some of her musically inspired talent to the community, and teaches in a Hamilton based program called ‘An Instrument For Every Child’.
