Madison Wood is a Toronto based vocalist with a sultry voice and a unique and refined writing style. Having grown up studying jazz, her phrasing has been compared to that of Billie Holiday, breathing an old soul into new pop music. With vocal qualities similar to Norah Jones, Adele, and Amy Winehouse, Madison Wood ups the anti for today’s alternative pop scene.
Writing all of her own original music, Madison has been influenced by John Mayer, Agnes Obel, and Melody Gardot; blurring the lines between accessible pop music and complicated harmony, string arrangements, and time signature changes. Madison is very excited to share her upcoming EP with you coming this year.
