Cassie Shankman is an Austin-based composer, orchestrator, pianist and DJ (Cass&Ra). As a composer and orchestrator, she has been recognized for her work with film, visual artists, chamber groups, wind ensembles, apps, musicals, and music therapy technology. As a performer, she’s played with legendary musicians such as jazz trombonist Wycliffe Gordon at Lincoln Center, DEVO’s frontman Mark Mothersbaugh to indie-rock artist Ben Kweller for SXSW. As a DJ, specializing in health & wellness, she has DJ’d for clients from Soul Cycle to Wanderlust Yoga to Lyft to Expedia to Spredfast’s SXSW Social Suite 3-Day House Party, with over 3,000 people in attendance.
