CirKids was founded in 1984 by a group of parents in the arts community who wanted to give their kids the once-in-a-lifetime chance to perform as a circus troupe; it was inspired by the Australian Fruit Fly Circus, which came to the Vancouver International Children's Festival in 1982 and returned for Expo '86.

Hiring CirKids is a unique and fun way to celebrate your child's next birthday party. Their huge space at the Garden Auditorium on the PNE site is filled with colourful equipment, music and circus activities for your guests to try. Your party will consist of 75 minutes in the big gym. Circus activities include: warm-up, juggling, tight-wire, globe, static trapeze, human pyramids, and a special event for the birthday child!
