From 200 BC to 800 AD, the ancient route of the caravans trading between China and the West was called the
"Silk Road." Along with silk, spices and another items of commerce, this ancient highway brought the ideas
and culture of the Orient to the Western world.
Established in 1991, Silk Road is comprised of a group of musicians playing instruments from their native China, bringing the extraordinary heritage and cultures of the Orient to North American audiences!
Qiuxiahe, the group's founder, strongly believes that the group's music will help bridge the gap of understanding between the Eastern and the Western worlds.
