Corcovado has come together through a common love of Brazilian music: Samba, Bossa Nova and lesser-known styles such as Choro, Baiao and Frevo.

Jill Russell (Flute/Sax) - Jill toured with Brazilian guitar viruoso Celso Machado for five years.

Steve Charles (Guitar) - Steve sings authentic renditions of Classic Bossa Novas in Portugese. He has a natural gift for the subtleties of the Brazilian guitar sound.

Nick Apivor (Percussion/Vibraphone) - Nick specializes in the ethnic percussion of Brazil and adds a sophisticated swing with his virtuosity on vibes.

Sam Shoichet (Bass) - Sam is one of Vancouver's busiest musicians. He drives the rhythm with his unique percussive style on upright bass.
