Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Crystal A'dare fell in love with house music and the art of spinning vinyl.
She owes it to an extensive background of jazz dance and performing arts combined with an intricate
understanding of rhythm and beats. Crystal got her start playing for private parties and corporate events
7 years ago and quickly became well known for her impeccable track selection, flawless mixing skills and
magnetic energy. This year she was nominated Top 5 Best Electronic Dj and now holds the title of
Best Electronic Female Dj at the people's choice Vancouver Nightlife Awards! She has shared the
stage with 17 of the worlds biggest DJ's including Hector Fonseca, Starkillers, Keoki, Dave Armstrong
(Ministry Of Sound) and Marques Wyatt to name a few.
Crystal possesses skills behind the decks that are truly amazing. Listening to her set you can see why she
is continuously booked for so many different events and hold residencies at some of the best clubs in Vancouver.
Her colorful personality and musical intuition are one of a kind and her signature sets include all types of upbeat
house and vocally techno but she is also known for adding hip hop, R&B and Top 40 into the mix creating a new vibe.
She has played at over 60 venues in Vancouver and is a yearly resident at top clubs in Cancun
and Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Crystal is also a favorite DJ in Vancouver's gay/lesbian scene, playing at
the hottest parties for PRIDE 2008 & 2009. She was the featured artist in an upfront interview with
Peter Breeze for OUT TV and was also featured on Ethnosonic after placing first in the Kokanee Fresh Tracks
female DJ competition! She has done numerous T.V and radio interviews and continues to prove she is a "People's DJ"
