Ten years ago, a musical collaboration between percussionist Tony Chamberlist and guitarist/vocalist Michael Taylor culminated in the formation of Acoustic Groove. Individually, Tony has worked as a producer, engineer and studio musician with such artists as Miles Black, Brett Wade, Dee Daniels, PJ Perry, Oliver Gannon and Marcus Mosely, whereas Michael's previous work includes a long-time collaboration with Nicol Lischka and a tour with Sarah McLaughlin's Lilith Fair. Completing the trio is the most recent addition to Acoustic Groove, pianist/vocalist Diane Lines. Her credits include 2 years performing with Grammy winner Michael Buble, as well as appearances with Juno Award winning artists Zappacosta, Gary Fjellgaard, Jim Byrnes and Shari Ulrich.
As Acoustic Groove, Tony, Mike and Diane create a unique musical sound with their interpretation of contemporary and classic popular songs. The engaging and energetic presentation of their vast combined repertoire has established them as one of Vancouver's most popular acts.
